Each industry is affected by a cycle. “What Goes Up, Must Come Down” is the old adage. While this may be true in theory, this reality should not be the case with the standards and services you receive from your real estate professional.
The question then becomes…..How does one recognize the faces of excellence among the large group of realtors knocking at your door? What sets one professional apart from the rest?
THE DIFFERENCE IS THE SERVICE YOU RECEIVE.
Excellent service begins at the first meeting and goes far beyond the closing table. Excellent service is more than prompt, courteous phone calls, pricing&market watches, financial&legal referrals, and even the occasional walk of the family dog. It also means that you are provided with skilled, innovative approaches to achieving your real estate goals. It makes no difference if you’re Buying, Selling or Renting the excellent real estate professional develops a relationship with you and is always there for you as a guide and advisor.
As licensed real estate professionals, we are all bound by the law, but we are also bound by a Code of Ethics & Standards of Practice. Excellent service moves beyond the middle of the road to provide you with an extraordinary experience while locating a home and far beyond the day you move in. Excellent service in many cases can be the difference between Just Listed, and Just Sold.
So what’s my advice? Ask tough questions and expect straight forward, honest answers. After your next meeting, ask yourself:
· Did the agent understand my real estate goals and is he/she attentive to my concerns?
· Did the agent display critical thinking skills that would help me achieve my goals?
· Did the agent provide me with a strategic and creative plan to Buying, Selling or Renting a home?
· Does the agent have adequate resources and support to service my needs?
Answering yes to all these questions means you won’t have to ask the question…. Does my realtor wear the face of excellence? |
